Linux on ARM920T and TS-7300

Hi,

Two years back I've brought a TS-7300 board (lot of $$ gone kaput!). But now I wish to start working with this board.

I've downloaded all necessary documentation, kernel, debian distro for CD card etc from the Technologic Systems website (provided to boot the board with an USB SD card) but the latest kernel binary there is 2.6.21. I wish to work with linux 2.6.28 kernel source on a FC9 host machine to boot that board.

My point is how to kick start this effort like:

a) Start with their latest kernel (2.6.21) and get the hands with the board

OR

b) To start working with 2.6.28 directly, what things I need to have before I start compiling this 2.6.28 for that board? (driver support, boot loader etc?).

Please advice me, thanks in advance.

As a (new) TS-7350 user, I suggest starting out with what the vendor has produced as a known-good implementation. Then, start adding your own application code &/or kernel upgrades. There is a Yahoo group 'TS-7000' that has had some recent discussion about user-community upgraded kernel support. I think the archives are open for viewing by anyone, or join the group.

--- rod.

Thanks for the response. Yes, I've thought the same to do first to get the hands on experience. Just wondering if anyone has similar kind of board or work done so that I can get the interaction/exposure with this thread. Well, am a member of TS-7000 yahoo group since 2007. OK, I'll plan the things accordingly.
