Hi

I am using the cross compiler from emdebian to compile a program for the mips architecture.

On build machine
#mips-linux-gnu-gcc -march=34kc -o main34kc main.c

But when I try to execute the application on the target machine it gives the following error message.

On target machine
#./main34kc
line 1:EL@4: not found
line 2: syntax error: word unexpected (expecting ")")

What does this mean ?

Can I give the cross compiler some flags to give more detailed error messages ?

Live well
/Stefan

In your build image, what's library option, dynamic or static?

Hi

Thanks for the hint nini09

I found out what it was,
the Mips cpu on the target machine was set to run in little endian mode,
the compiler I used produced big endian code

/Stefan
