I am building a toolchain for ARM.
.
.
on the first stage compiler after addition of glibc.. I faced -lc not found...on executing a simple code..
.
.
hoping for some help.
-lc : Means 'libc.a' ( or libc.so )
sir..
I tried to locate libc.a but couldn't get it.
Than i tried to get libc.so,,,, and i got it somewhere in lib.
I made a softlink of this particular libc.so.6 file with my target lib.
But still facing the same error..
The link given by me is:
.
. ln -s /home/mannu/downloads/my\ kernel/partition\ 2/lib/libc.so.6 /opt/arm/lib/gcc/arm-none-linux-gnueabi/4.4.4/
.
.
Also when i am triying to configure glibc. I am getting this error..
.
.checking for c cleanup handling... No
configure: Error: The compiler must support c cleanup handling
.
.
My configure command is..:
../../sources/glibc-2.14/configure --build=$buildmach --host=$targetmach --prefix=$sysrootdir/usr --with-headers=$sysrootdir/usr/include --config-cache --enable-add-ons=glibc-ports-2.14,nptl --enable-kernel=2.6.28.3 .
.
What is the reason behind it..??
... From your "arm" glibc.
Use a toolkit such as Crosstool-NG to build a cross toolchain. If you are flummoxed by the basic errors you are pointing out here, you probably lack the experience necessary to accomplish your objective. Even using the considerable built-in expertise of such a toolkit will leave you with plenty of questions. There are helpful and friendly people on the CT-NG mailing list to guide you.

Thanks sir,
But I wanted to develop it without any toolkit... and now I have done it.
