Is it possible for a WLAN USB 2.0 adapter to be run in 2.6.14 kernel?
 

I am new to usb devices and wireless lan and I have this product,

a 2.6.14 kernel of BusyBox, and a usb port that can handle a mouse and storage device. Is it possible to connect that WLAN USB 2.0 adapter, to my usb port and actually use that instead of my ethernet port for network communication processes? I just need some insights on this scenario if this is feasible and some suggestions if there is any.

It appears your LP-8187 is a clone of an RTL-8187 - and Linux is *definitely* supported for the Realtek 8187:

Hey thanks for this confirmation Paul! At first I am unsure whether that device is the Realtek 8187, and now you confirmed it. Based on installation info in the wiki you provided, the rtl8187 driver is introduced in the kernel 2.6.23 so it might pose some installation problem on my 2.6.14 kernel. I will have to check this since upgrading to a newer kernel version is not yet possible as of the moment.
