How to port a web browser on Embedded Linux for ARM9

Hi,

I am new to Linux. I have a requirement of porting an open source web browser on embedded linux for ARM9 board. Can someone please help which browser is to be used with embedded linux?

Though, I have tried to port Arora web browser which was compiled for PC and running fine but even after successful cross compilation for arm-linux it is not working on target board.

It depends what kind of memory you have. Some embedded systems are able to run Chrome or Firefox and you don't need to cross-compile them, you just need to install them if you are using a standard distribution such as Debian or Fedora.

In case this is a custom distributions, you may want to try to have a look at the ARM build instructions for Chrome or a lower footprint web browser such as Midori.

Thanks for your response. I am working on Arora and Qt default browser as well. It seems working. I am able to port and execute it on my Eval board (Mini2440) but still working on porting the same on my target device (EP9307).
