How do read the RSSI of disassociated mobile on openwrt?

Hello everyone
I am developing localization algorithm in which needs to measure RSSI for the same mobile from different AP.
I have already measured the RSSI for the associated mobile but I don't have any idea how to measure the RSSI for the mobile that not connect the AP.

I still have a problem:

when I turn on the monitoring mode I have to turn down the Wlan0 which means the AP can not work as forwarding. I think in this time all the associated client will not be able to connect to the network.
the question is:
How to keep the AP work as AP while capturing packets in monitoring? I know that I am able to switch between the mode but it will cause a problem with the associated devices. any idea or suggestion how to solve the problem
