Hi,

I just received my beaglebone, and tried to install the ubuntu image (that should work with the beaglebone). And Ive managed to get an old build to work once, but now its crashing again.
Can anyone explain to me what is wrong? Here is the error messages that appear in the console

Not sure whether this will be of any assistance, however I had no issues in getting the BeagleBone up and running with an Ubuntu image by following the instructions shown in this document:

http://elinux.org/BeagleBoardUbuntu

Specifically, I followed the section under

"Method 1: Download a Complete Pre-Configured Image"

..and basically everything pretty much worked first time. Once booted, I ssh'd onto the BeagleBone and downloaded the relevant software I needed and all ran well (Note the document indicates a default user: ubuntu and password: temppwd so you can log on with ssh - I missed this at first!)

At this stage I have only run the Oneric 11.10 version of these instructions. I plan to try the "Precise 12.04 armhf testing" version next.

Regards.
