After weeks of trying different OS I was disappointed, I don't know why for every common desktop I tried they are all sluggish, almost the same as my Pi 4. On the other hand, I overclocked it a bit but can only go up to 2.7Ghz, where most other users can get 3Ghz even more, the min was 2.8Ghz. It wasn’t over temperature, my Argon case indicated it never go beyond 50’C. I started to doubt my one has h/w problem, or the 16G model is still not well supported. I wonder if anyone has had a similar experience like me ?

It depends on what you have tried. What OS, what apps and obviously it depends on the network too, the attached devices and the power supply.
In general RPi is not meant to be used as a general purpose desktop computer, it is not "good" enough to do that.
Much better to run a service on it (like smart home centre, multimedia, ...) without GUI (headless mode).
And please avoid that unreadable color.
