Compiling/porting linux for arm on a platform

Hi All,

How to compile a linux-arm for my arm platform ?

I am working on a CITRIC camera platform equipped with the Image sensor OV9655 and based on the XScale-PXA270 processor running Linux 2.6.9-dma270. In order to fix some problem with the current Image sensor driver I think should be useful update the linux kernel.

Could you please give me some tips and pointers on how to inform the linux kernel regarding my platform specificity ?

Currently I don't have the sources code of the linux version (2.6.9-dma270) running on my platform.

Thanks

Paolo
