Smile Can two different device drivers use the same low level bus driver?

Hi All,

I am using davinci embedded development board, on this controller(AM1808) we've one SPI interface with multiple chip selects.
Now we have two SPI aware devices viz 1. SPI flash, and 2. SD/MMC on the board, i want to use both the devices as SPI. So my doubt is like my upper layers drivers such flash driver or MMC SPI driver which'd be sharing the same SPI bus, wouldn't they clash for any time? Can i use the system in this way?

For info: My kernel and root file system resides on SPI flash while the MMC card is to be used for logging purpose or anything else.

I am not having much grip on kernel so forgive silly ques if it is!

Regards
Anurag

Yes, you can do it. During boot-up, they use different driver.
