Unhappy Alix 2D2out of mems and rebooting after Jessie

Hello everyone!

So I have an Alix (AMD Geode, 256MB ram) running flawlessly for about 5 years. It was running voyage linux 0.7. I was basically using it as a downloader and streamer (rutorrent and minidlna). But some day started to give disk i/o errors on the usb disk and after I tried with several disks I read that it was a hardware problem.

So I upgraded to the latest voyage linux distribution that is based on Jeesie. All good! problem of usb controller have dissapeared. But everything is consuming more memory, I needed to add swap and even after that sometimes the SO is rebooting or the applications are closing due to out of memory. I am not so pro to know what to do but I am thinking to go back to an older distribution based on 2.7 kernel and maybe use older versions of the software.

What should I do so you guys help me to diagnose and fix my issue?

Kernel and SO
Linux voyage 3.16.7-ckt9-voyage i586 Debian GNU/Linux 8

And this is one of my out of mems
