Zorin OS Lite
Hello,
I recently came across Zorin OS Lite on Distrowatch. Has anyone tried it. It is claimed to be very lightweight and user friendly. Here is the announcement from the developers website: The Zorin OS Team are pleased to release the Zorin OS 4 Lite Beta. This is a pre-release of the first "Lite" version of Zorin OS which is aimed at Linux beginners. This new version of Zorin OS was designed to provide one of the fastest and most feature-packed interfaces for low-spec machines. We have used the LXDE desktop environment and Lubuntu as a base system as opposed to Zorin OS's standard GNOME environment and an Ubuntu base system. We have included some new and exclusive programs and features such as our unique Look Changer tailored especially for the LXDE environment, our Internet Browser Manager, a new theme and many others. To find more information about the Zorin OS 4 Release please take a look at the official Release Notes, or if you want to take a look at the future of lightweight computing go here to download the Zorin OS 4 Lite Beta. Why don't you try it yourself, instead of advertising here?

My internet connection is really slow and I don't want to waste my bandwidth downloading something that I won't use. I want to know if it is worth getting as I have an old computer and this could really help if it is good.

How should we know, if it is worth for you getting it?
We are all individuals, with different knowledge, different computers, different aims, different distros that fit our needs and so on. The only person that can know if it fits you is actually ...you. |
