zip drive?
Does anyone know what devise file is used to mount a zip drive in Slackware 8.0.

Check to see if your system recognizes the drive in the output of "dmesg". The device entry is usually listed when the kernel finds the drive.

My usb zip 250 drive is on /dev/sda and to mount it i have to use /dev/sda1 (cuz we are mounting a partition on the disk not the drive, i tried mounting /dev/sda but it doesn't work.. )
You will probably need USB mass storage support, SCSI generic, and SCSI disk support compiled into your kernel tho...

I've got an IDE/Atapi 250 drive, and it will only work properly if I add "hdf=ide-floppy" to the append line of my lilo.conf file. Once this is done (and lilo has been run, obviously) I can access it on hdf, but the partition number used is hdf4 - don't ask why, it's just what Iomega have decided.
