Yast2 problem!!!

I am running SUse9.1 and whenever I go into Yast2 and click Install and Remove Software then I search for GCC and It comes up with the GCC compilers. But when I click Accept it just closes. I need help and without GCC I cannot install anything.

Very strange. Try running only "yast" (not yast2). That will bring a ncurses interface of YaST. Although not so "good looking" it provides the same functionality.

Good luck!
