Xconfigurator not in Red Hat 8.0?

I have a Thinkpad that I'm trying to get RH 8 installed on. The installer botched the installation of X. So I tried using the familiar Xconfigurator to set up X, but it wasn't installed and apparently its not on any of the CDs. Help!

Unfortunetly it doesn't work like the old Xconfigurator. I get an error message when I try to run it, something about ddcprobe returning bogus results.

hi
maybe you can get Xconfigurator here;
http://www.rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/
You used it before on this thinkpad ?
If not maybe it 'll crash anyway probing your card
Otherwise use XFree86 -configure to generate an
/etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file and edit that to your needs
regards
