Workstation Distro

Hiyas,

I am after the distro that will fit my needs:

I have a dual AMD Athlon MP 1800+ @ 1610Mhz and I want to get the most out of these...

Im lazy so ideally Id like to have somthing such as apt-get in debian, I understand that gentoo has a ports system for this (dunno anything about it though)

Id like to have GRUB, GNOME, KDE, and basically a whole lot of useful programming stuff

It must be stable as hell

It must be a hardcore distro, I have used:

Slackware
Debian
Redhat
Mandrake
SuSE

I dont want to do a LFS because I dont have the time (or a linux system to compile from) so I was thinking:

Gentoo
LRs Linux

Gentoo has the advantage that it has a support base, I cannot find anything to do with LRs apart from the site (which is VERY sketchy...

Anyone got any suggestions/ideas?

Thanks muchly,

Shak

You should just pick a distro your familiar with and highly customize it, any distro should work. If your not looking for anything somewhat bloated, then go with Slackware, Debian or Gentoo.... etc.
