Windows and Linux integration trouble

These days I'm doing to do something on Linux host and windows server 2003 password synchronization stuff, but it seems that after I followed the steps from this article:
http://technet2.microsoft.com/window....mspx?mfr=true

I cannot achieve the password synchronization. Now what's even worse is that when I try to remove the computer and readd it to the password synchronization tag,it just popped out some error saying,"Either the computer name is invalid or it is temporarily down." I'm going nuts on this stuff, cuz I got no error on Linux side, and I've installed the ssod daemon and PAM file in Linux machine, also, I started the ypserv service and ssod daemon successfully, but now the windows server won't let me add the Linux host to the password synchronization tag. Anybody have an idea what's going on here?

My linux host runs on Fedora Core 6,and windows side on Windows Server 2003 R2.
I've installed the PAM file and configured in system-auth, plus I've added the ssod daemon and i'm able to start it on Linux host. For Windows I've installed the components for password synchronization from the disc.Plus, I didn't turn on the firewall on Linux or Windows.

Someone please help me with this.

UPDATE: Did some research about ssod. Never heard of SSOD, but I would be very interested in how it works out for you. Seems to be password synch only so your not authenticating against AD, but merely try to synch password. Gotchya.

Hope this helps,
Pat
