Window manager problem
Hi there, not sure where this one should go but I am trying to install xfce4 I have run all the rpms but one, The xfprint-4xx-suse says it is dependent on a2ps, which I then installed but the xfprint still claims that it is dependent on the a2ps.
I have an entry for XFce4 in the drop down at KDM login, If i select this it all goes through somthing but then we are back to the login manager again. I eventually want to get rid of KDE and just use XFce4. Would this be ill-advised ? -cheers.. |
The version of a2ps you have and the version xfprint wants may be different.
If I remember correctly, though, there is a way to force rpms to install regardless of whether they think their dependencies are installed or not. |
the a2ps problem is overcome, I just have the problem of getting XFce4 to run at all, didn't want to "force" the install using -nodeps until i'd had a few opinions -cheers
-think i'll just reinstall without kde this time and put only xfce4 on- |
