Thumbs down Why are the fonts in SuSe so ugly for non KDE apps ?

I've been trying a lot of ditros lately, now I've instaled SuSe, and I liked a lot of things ....
BUT ...
the fonts for non KDE apps are simply to ugly (take OpenOffice for instance).

How can this be solved ?

I have a Geforce 4 Ti, but I cannot install the drivers with 3D accelerations or X-server crashes.

This does not happen in Debian or RedHat, so what is the problem with SuSe ?

Thank you all !
