which live distro
Hi all,
I am looking for a live distro to help me clone my current laptop hard disk to a new ssd disk. The new ssd disk is a tiny bit smaller (20GB) but is of course enough for cloning all data in.
Any suggestions?

Hi.
Don't forget you can install apps(\update &c) if needed in a live session...
I like: https://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/u...y-live-builds/
not that you'd need to install dd https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/disk_cloning
Code:
dd if=/dev/sdX of=/dev/sdY bs=64K conv=noerror,sync status=progress
have fun!

I like GPARTED
Gparted has many advantages, which I prefer to other distros.

Many SSD companies offer a limited version of a commercial and it will boot.
