Which linux distribution is best for a netbook?

I have an Advent 4211-c netbook, and I need a good linux distribution.
The specs are:
Intel Atom @ 1.6GHz
1GB RAM
120GB Hard drive
10" Widescreen LCD @ 1024 x 600

The netbook only has USB ports, and I don't have an external CD Drive, so it must be USB based only.

At the moment, I have the netbook dual-booting Windows XP Home, and Ubuntu Netbook Remix. My problem is that I am using XP, as it is completely compatible with my computer and I have used XP for years. XP, however, is getting too slow with all my programs on there. UNR has quite a few bugs and errors as well, but seemed to work perfectly with my netbook straight out of the box. The problems with that are that I have to use completely new programs which I am unfamiliar with, and also there are some bugs, like uninstalling current crappy software, and finding half-decent alternatives is quite difficult. I may be able to wipe the hard drive, but I need to do it all without a CD Drive, and I must keep Windows XP because it is a really good operating system.

If you can help me, please do...
Thanks
Lyall

Hey dog, I got alot of usb stuff you can run thru that baby.

You can check out the tinycore stuff too, might be a good bet for the lappy.
Please wait a few more hours as I am finishing up the tinycore_2.0 superpack

I personally use Ubuntu-SE-8.04, but CrunchBang-Linux is great for small screen lappys and uses Openbox WM so it's light on RAM, etc
CrunchBang is Ubuntu derivative so has access to all repositories too.
