So when i finally download all 3 of these 700mb ISO files and burn them onto discs, exactly how do i go about installing this Mandrake 10 distro. I mean even a moron can partition and install Windows XP (i did) but can the same be said about mandrake? I sincerely hope so.

Although my 256Mb ATI Radeon 9600XT continues to worry me. Will Mandrake 10 find this ok or will it play merry hell up like the other distros?

Also, whats on the 4th download, sized 450mb ?

I would personally have suggested Fedora, but since you've got the disks for mandrake, go for it. In terms of ease of use, it's about the same. I've always found Linux to be easier to install than windows, because of the graphical installers we have these days.

To install, just put disk 1 in, and reboot. It'll tell you what to do from there.
