Which distro is best for an old Mac?

Hi all!

I have an old iMac G4 sitting on my desk. It has an 800Mhz processor and 256Mb of RAM. I'm not a big Mac OS fan, so I'd like to install Linux on it.

I've only worked with Ubuntu Server at work before, which won't work out too well for me at home because I enjoy having a GUI on my desktops :) I tried downloading Ubuntu 9.10 PPC, but it was about 5Mb too big to fit on a CD. In addition, the Ubuntu PPC release isn't officially supported anymore, so I'm not entirely sure if I want to use it anyway.

So I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a good distro for an 800Mhz PPC G4 system. Preferably one that has Gnome (rather by default or installable through a respiratory). I definitely need a distro that will work with a Linksys WUSB54G wireless adapter, as I don't have Ethernet running into my room.

Thanks!
Joey

yellowdog linux might still be available for macs, it was my first distro on a 266mhz g3 powerbook, of course that was like 10 years ago
only one caveat is there is no official flash plugin for ppc linux
