Which Distro for Programming and Web design?

Hey Guys,

In need of Urgent Help here, I know A guy who wants to get into Linux but has no idea which distro is right for him. He needs the distro to do the following

A distro with Programing and web design tools eg Quanta, intergrated by Defult
A 'fancy' GUI, what this means I don't know exactly
and has Wireless Networking Capability

I was thinking maybe Knoppix or Debian? I was toying with the idea of SUSE as well, but I'm not sure.

Can any of you make Any Recmendations

Any distro can do what your friend requires. Why don't you try a few out and then settle on the one he/she feels most comfortable with.
