Which Distro best for Gaming?

I am an avid RH9 user that is playing around with loading another distro but am not sure which one would be the best for my needs. I have an AMD 2800+, 512 Megs of Ram, and an ATI 9000 Pro video card (working with ATI 3.9.0) drivers, DVD-Rom, and DVD/+-RW. I have two uses for my PC, Gaming and Multimedia. Under RH 9 I played Americas Army, Tux Racer, and UT2003, I bought Cedega (Transgaming WineX) and loaded it however I couldn't get any of the supported games to run. After much research I found that RH9 seemed not to be the distro for Cedega. So that is the purpose of this question, which is the best distribution for gaming? Please don't give simple biased answers, rather please provide hard facts with the response. I also consider ease of installation and maintenance a factor because of that I am leaning to Fedora Core 2 but am curious if there are better distributions that I am not considering. Thank you in advance for all responses.

Okay, I have mandrake 10 and cedega and so far it's run all the games listed as working that I own... That ain't many, I must admit, but those with a 4 rating have run quite well, like counter-strike: condition zero, jedi knight 2 (and 1), half-life, and such...

I don't know if it's the 'best' but mandrake does come with mp3 support and stuff. A lot of that seems to be missing in RH...

I only have a p3 700 by the way... So your box should kill winex games.
