Unhappy Which Distro ?

I am using RH for about 4yrs time I am familiar with most of the configuraton, installation things, including compiling a new kernel.

As I have used only RH and Mandrake a little.. I would like to know the best stable distro for a migration.

Can anyone kindly help me !

I am interested in using GUI but have the ability to compile it for myself if the distro allows... I started to dislike RH for its dependency issues..

Advance Thanks for you all..
Thanks.

The best way is to decide yourself.
Install a few other distributions on spare partitions or hard drives and give them a test spin.
Both Debian and Slackware would be different experiences compared to Red Hat.
