which distribution to install???
 

I want install a linux distribution, but i don't know which one.

Welcome to LQ! This is a very common question, and the best answer is to try several distros, then decide for yourself which one best suits your needs and preferences. Two popular sites to download Linux distros are LQ ISO and LinuxISO Good luck with it -- J.W.

My advice would be to use a Live CD for a few days... Get to know Linux a bit.

These three threads are posted just below yours. Look around this site and use the search feature. If you let the members decide for you, you will probably become confused by the sheer(sp) number of distro out there. As
J.W. stated, try a couple of different ones, get the feel of linux, and then you will be better prepared to pick a distro that suites your needs, not ours.

thanks for helping me. I've already tried fedora, but i wanna trie another to see what's better.
i think will install slackware, and you will see...

Gentoo and Debian are good, both are pretty advanced distros but once it's all setup, installing new software is so incredibly simple it hurts sometimes ;) Almost as easy as a Mac :p
