which distribution is best for basic home use?
After spending the whole weekend fixing registry on Windows Vista, I am thinking about switching to Linux for my home PC. I've used Solaris and Mandrake for work before, but not sure which distribution is best for home use.
I use my home PC mostly for word processing, tracking family finance, personal emails, net surfing, playing movies. I don't need server level performance, but I need it to be stable, bug free, so I don't have to spend hours trouble shooting.
All ideas and tips are greatly appreciated.
