What is Lindows???
Hi, I've read somewhere that Lindows is a Linux very similar to Windows, is it free? Where can I get hold of it?
How does it work? Like Linux or like Windows? |
why not go read the lindows.com website or search this one, instead of just blindly asking the same question again?
btw. we all hate it. it costs $99 |
lol, you got the greates sense of humor bro acid_kewpie, :D
yeah, we all hate it and it costs 99 per year...like acid said. Look in the next two pages of the threads...we talked about it a lot, and also we said what we thought about it, so go on look, :) zlinuxz |

I'm working right now and therefore I've got no time for surfing the net so I thought I'd just drop a question in the forum, full stop. Isn't that the purpose of a forum? Cheers zlinuxz. |
hey, that's the purpose of the fforum, but as you say, the purpose of the posters is not to answer the same question dozens of times! :D
as to my opinions of lindows: i hate it, it costs $99 (and that's for the unstable copy, you pay for the privelege of sending in bug reports!), they are 6 months late delivering the final version, they are trying to get it to run windows apps natively without even knowing what all the windows calls are (only micro$oft knows that) Quite frankly, i have seen far too many people posting with things like "i'm a bit of a newbie so maybe i'll just get lindows". Quite frankly i say, if somebody seriously thinks lindows would be best for them, then it probably would. Problem is that those dumbasses will probably all be saying "oh yes, linux, didn't like it, i tried lindows and hated it" in a few years' time. |

well no i don't really think that's what a forum is for. a forum is for finding out information that you are unable to find elsewhere. there is a wealth of diverse opinion on this site and the net as a whole about lindows. Many members sometimes find it somewhat insulting that some people "drop a question" and wait for the cows to come home.
