What do you think of Yoper?

I've got Yoper and I really liked it on first impression. However, there seems to be a lot of problems with the new release. I'm really trying to work through them so I can use Yoper, but the their tech support is TERRIBLE (IMHO).

I want to here some success stories, or disaster stories about Yoper. I'm pretty close to giving up on this distro.

I'm really curious to see WHAT it is that makes Yoper #1 on DistroWatch.

Thanks

-R

Personally, I was not impressed by they're last release candidate. Knoppix did it better and nicer.

However, I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt until I saw the attitude of their staff on their forums. Personally, if that's how they see the linux community...I wouldn't want to give 'em MY money.

I'm going to agree with tcaptain. I wasn't impressed really at all by their last release candidate, and their attitude makes me completely unwilling to give them any money to see if they fixed the problems from the last rc.

I was interested in yoper because it is designed for 686 processors. The relaease candidate was okay...a few quirks but not bad for an rc. Their attitude in their forums is terrible. I switched to gentoo who has better documentation, kinder forums, and a more consistant package management system.
