what do you think of RH 8.0


Just wondering what people think of RedHat 8.0

Well I tried installing 8.0 and after everything was installed, I got a kernel panic error about init not found error. And couldn't quite figure it out.

Since then i've installed Debian 3.0 without any problems to the same partition that I tried installing 8.0 on!

I chose better than ever because i figured it was better than 7.3 but not better than 7.2 because I thought 7.2 was better than 7.3

I think the installation was better, but I don't like how they did the menus and I'm not too happy with the current state of the default window manager.

i like red hat 8 but not the skippy multi-media support, i also am going back to 7.2 , at least i can get the xmms player working from the installation without down-loading a rpm for xmms. red hat 7.2 was a good distro.

tring to get libranet installed, have a real tough time getting any debian system installed on my computers, unless it doesn,t like the amd boards i have.
