Im trying to install showeq 5.2 and i want to know what distro may be best. Im wondering if you can me to a distro that would take the least added installing of packages to make it work. Thanks for any sugestions in advance.
Thier website says it needs gcc-3.0.5+ and qt-3+ to run and rpm.pbone.net says the required packages are as follows;
freakyg... he wasn't asking anoth 'what distro should I use' question.. he was asking a rather specific question.. he needs something that is going to meet or exceed those requirements...
brunog, I assume anything relatively recent should be fine. Those versions of gcc and qt readily available in any distro that is fairly current. Being that it requires Qt, you probably want a distro that defaults to KDE... SUSE is a good choice.
