What distro would be best

Hey everyone,

Im trying to install showeq 5.2 and i want to know what distro may be best. Im wondering if you can me to a distro that would take the least added installing of packages to make it work. Thanks for any sugestions in advance.

Thier website says it needs gcc-3.0.5+ and qt-3+ to run and rpm.pbone.net says the required packages are as follows;

rpmlib(PayloadIsBzip2) <= 3.0.5-1
libpthread.so.0
libICE.so.6
libstdc++.so.5(GLIBCPP_3.2.2)
libdl.so.2
libgdbm.so.3
libXft.so.2
libm.so.6
libXrandr.so.2
qt3 => 3.1
libgcc_s.so.1
libz.so.1
libpcap.so.0
libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.1.3)
libpthread.so.0(GLIBC_2.1)
libXcursor.so.1
libstdc++.so.5
libSM.so.6
libXrender.so.1
libXext.so.6
libpcap => 0.6.2
libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.0)
libqt-mt.so.3
libpthread.so.0(GLIBC_2.0)
rpmlib(PayloadFilesHavePrefix) <= 4.0-1
gdbm => 1.8.0
libm.so.6(GLIBC_2.0)
libstdc++.so.5(GLIBCPP_3.2)
libX11.so.6
rpmlib(CompressedFileNames) <= 3.0.4-1
libfontconfig.so.1
libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.1)
libfreetype.so.6
libm.so.6(GLIBC_2.1)
libmysqlclient.so.12
libgcc_s.so.1(GCC_3.0)
libstdc++.so.5(CXXABI_1.2)
libc.so.6

freakyg... he wasn't asking anoth 'what distro should I use' question.. he was asking a rather specific question.. he needs something that is going to meet or exceed those requirements...

brunog, I assume anything relatively recent should be fine. Those versions of gcc and qt readily available in any distro that is fairly current. Being that it requires Qt, you probably want a distro that defaults to KDE... SUSE is a good choice.
