how to install virtual box in kali linux.??? i do get the following errors. kindly help me out.

1st try
i got error like
root@kali:~# apt-get update

2nd try

4th Try

5th Try

Finally I Tried

root@kali:~# apt-cache search virtualbox
root@kali:~# apt-get install virtualbox

E: Package 'virtualbox' has no installation candidate
root@kali:~# dpkg -i virtualbox

virtualbox...

So this is how i am stuck with Virtual box installation kindly let me know what to do to sort out this issue.??? Thanx in advance.. It will be usefull to many beginners like me

If the full output of "sudo apt-get update" is "Reading package lists... Done" then your system is in a seriously misconfigured state. In which case I recommend to copy the /etc/apt/sources.list from a Kali Live DVD to replace your seriously damaged/missing version of this file. I'd tell you mine but I'm not a Kali user.
