An old cairo / libcairo ? ? Or a corrupt libcairo ?

A test result with random libcairo.so.2 :
Code:
$ readelf -s /usr/lib/libcairo.so.2 | grep XRenderCompositeText32
   164: 00000000     0 FUNC    GLOBAL DEFAULT  UND XRenderCompositeText32
Which Linux OS are you using ? ?
