Unhappy useradd


hello all.

I just upgraded to slackware 8.1 for some reasons I can not add a user with a dot. xyz.com

help

It worked fine on my box. Instead of using useradd ( if that is what your using ) try with adduser instead.

thanks but I am running a script to add domains for the qmail virtual domains which is generating a UID same as the domainname. This script was working fine under slackware 8.0. is there a bug with 8.1 or is there a fix for this?

I'm not sure about that, I thought you were having problems with a dot in the username ?

What kind of script is this ? One you created or an existing program ?
