Two thumbnail folders?
I have a habit of browsing through folders, just to see what is there. Especially in my home directory and hidden files/folders. I look to see and also for anything unusual that shouldn't be there.

Now I am not sure if this is Ubuntu/Ubuntu Studio (Which works closely with Xubuntu,) an XFCE4 or just a general linux thing.

I have the usual .thumbnails folder but I noticed in my home directoy, /home/me/.cache, that there is also another, exact, thumbnails folder with exactly the same thumbnails in it as the .thumbnails one. Is there a reason for this? Are there plans on moving the .thumbnails folder permanently to .cache, like they did with .recently-used.xbel to .local/share/recently-used.xbel, as well as moving other things?

If so, why would moving any of these files or folders around actually matter?

I ended up getting rid of Ubuntu Studio. I went back to Debian (testing/unstable/experimental for a couple of things.) I have the same exact DE's. XFCE4, which is what I use, and KDE for programs they have. Things are the same. But now there is only one thumbnails folder, /home/user/.thumbnails. There is no thumbnails folder in .cache now. I am using XFCE4 4.8.03 and with Ubuntu Studio I was using XFCE4 4.10. I am using KDE 4.8.4 and I believe with Ubuntu Studio it was 4.9.2. I am not sure if Thunar or Dolphin is doing things differently in newer releases or if it had to do with Ristretto. Either way I am still very curious.
