Trying to make sense Clear Linux bundle and Stateless

Clear Linux use bundles instead of packages for distribution. Their "database-basic" bundle contains mariadb, mariadb-doc, mariadb-server, postgresql and sqlite-autoconf.

If I want to install postgresql without mariadb how do I do that?

Their stateless means almost empty /etc and /var. How do I change the hostname on Clear Linux? there's no /etc/hostname.

thank you for your time.

Hi & welcome to LQ! (Sorry your question didn't get an answer here)

It looks like (from here) that CL doesn't support non-bundles!
(You might ask on that CL site/forum)

Try hostnamectl (Idk for sure tho. p.s. are you 'sticking with' CL?)

Come back & give LQ another 'try' (with another question)
(Mark this Thread '[SOLVED]' with ThreadTools at top if&when done here. Thanks!)
