Trucrypt & KyMyMoney needed, what distro?

I have had trouble getting Truecrypt to open volumes on a few distros. I need Truecrypt and KMyMoney to work well. Any suggestions on a distro? While the pair worked for years on Ubuntu, it is now failing. Today the pair works on Windows, but I want it on Linux!

Any suggestions appreciated!

I suspect the problem may be related to recent updates in various crypto libs to address potential vulnerabilities and the Trucrypt code hasn't caught up yet. Just a guess on my part.
