I saw a cool program for linux that Kevin Rose presented on tech tv about a week and a half ago... 3ddesk
http://desk3d.sourceforge.net
But I'm trying to install this app on reh hat 9.0 and for some reason when I double click on the app im my /root home directory, it does nothing... the package does not install! Nothing comes up stating that it is installing it... no error msgs either.
I also tried downloading the SuSE rpm also... which does launch the rpm installer, but I get an error msg stating that imlib2 is not installed on my system and needs to be... Well, I'm trying to install that as well and I get the same resopnse from the rpm installer there too... nothing.
So I go to the cmd line and try to do some installs... and I get this out put:
[root@localhost root]# rpm --install imlib2-1.1.0-1.src.rpm
warning: user hany does not exist - using root
warning: group hany does not exist - using root
warning: user hany does not exist - using root
warning: group hany does not exist - using root
[root@localhost root]# rpm --install 3ddesktop-0.2.6-1.src.rpm
warning: user bard does not exist - using root
warning: group bard does not exist - using root
[root@localhost root]#
Can anybody figure this out?
