Topologilinux 7.0.1 and Slackware 12.2
 

Hello everyone,
I was wondering if someone succeeded in doing a clean upgrade of Topologilinux 7.0.1, which is based on Slackware 12.1, to Slackware 12.2. Any success story?

Anybody care to share their experience about TopologiLinux?

I too am interested in learning more.

I used Topologilinux when I wanted to learn about Linux while not having to perform a dual boot installation with MS windows. It helped me a lot to get a first safe experience with Linux and an understanding of the simplicity and robustness of Slackware. I think it was a really wise decision to base the distro on Slackware. After one month of usage of Topologilinux, I formatted my laptop and performed a full install of Slackware. I think people could argue that the Topologilinux distro is equivalent to having Slackware installed in a virtual machine. However with Topologilinux, you have the option to start the distro at boot (which I think is not possible with the virtual machine option. correct me if I'm wrong :) ) or to launch it from your windows environment. I would recommend it for people wanting to have a first grasp of the Linux world while keeping their feet wet in MS windows waters...
