I want a pre-built Linux OS with the minimal amount of complexities. Which means all of the needed dependencies, simple gui(blackbox, fluxbox), and a web browser is there, and the rest of configuring and installing is up to me.
Almost all distros will have an option of doing a minimal install.
With distros like Arch or Zenwalk you would have to pacman your DE or WM. With gentoo you would have to emerge it, with slackware you would have to installpkg it and it's deps, with debian you would have to apt-get it.
Nonsense....
Operating systems---with rare exceptions---are valuable things. They all have pros and cons. Or, if you prefer, they having varying degrees of goodness.
That was a tongue in cheek thing, sort of intending to be funny.
Pretty much any Linux distro has a minimal install option. I did a minimal slackware install on a 128M CF card and there used to be a couple 1.44M floppy based distros designed to be used for terminals or routers.
You could just download the official Linux Kernel too and compile it and install it and go from there.
I want to use Linux, but the thing the turns me off when talking about Linux is the fact that there are so many distrobutions, and different ways that everything is orginized.

You do realize all you are asking is that YOU choose the advanced installation choices availlable in many distributions to install only the software choices you want?
