System Halts during boot up
I recently installed Fedora 7 on my Dell inspiron E1505 Core Duo Laptop. Installation was a breeze. However, after installation when I try to reboot the system, it halts during boot up 8 out of 10 times. It halts in the begining. The last message I see is,
Uncompressing Linux... Ok, booting the Kernel. Before this message, I see the command that kernel probably started with i.e. Kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.21-1.3194.fc7 ro root=/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol100 rhgb quiet. Is there a way, I can get better debug message? I already have installed the system twice. Fedora 6 on the same system never gave me problem. cric. |
