Switching languages in KDE/Mandrake 9.0
Hi, I have Mandrake 9.0 and KDE 3.0.3, and I installed the i18n-KDE-Arabic package, the layout is already setup in the KDE Center and everything.. but I can't get it to work.
I choose a font that supports Arabic (that is Ariel, or Arabic Transparent) but when I change the language in the "KDE Keyboard Tool" that docks in the taskbar, nothing happens. I mean, the icon changes to "Ar" but when I type, it still types in English. Also, nothing happens when I try to setup hot keys for language selection (for example, ctrl+shift to change language). Everything works fine on Suse 8.0 with KDE 3.0, anyone has a clue? |
Maybe change the settings, close KDE and open it again. Maybe not all settings are available without a reload.
