SuSE vs. Mandriva

Hi!

I am a SuSE user very long time and now i decided to change distribution. I like Debian but...i tried Ubuntu but i don't like it. Mandriva? Maybe...
How is about software for Mandriva, update? Is it free or must be a club member to download, update?
Thanks,

Mitja

Yes, i like SuSE but i like les Novell-SuSE. There are some problem but nothing ''big''. This is like a car. After 10, less or more years many people change a car. I have SuSE from 6.x version. Ubuntu? Nothing is wrong but i don't like it. I like Debian but there are some problem with drivers and they need a time.

Have you thought about using this quiz to find your ideal distro?

Yes, you can download a Mandriva version for free without being a club member - LE2005 being the most recent - and yes, the updates are free - you can set your sources up at Easy Urpmi or similar, and then keep your distribution updated for free etc.

If you have used SUSE, Mandriva might seem really newbish, You may wnat to go with Gentoo or Slackware or even Fedora core.
