I bought SuSE 7.3 personal, and installed it a few days ago. Installation went without a hitch except for the setup of my Verizon DSL modem and account. SuSE tech support was great at helping me set this up, even though it technically went beyond the support agreement into an area where they were not obligated to help me.
If anyone else would like copies of the documents that SuSE sent me to help me with the setup, I'll gladly forward them upon request.
program installation as in just installing programs? well of course they wouldn't cover that, that's nothign to do with the distro. and, of course, it's easy.
EDIT -> its easy when the thing accually cooperates with you.
SuSE 7.3 has old versions of glib and gtk that cannot be updated very easy. I try to compile the new versions of glib and gtk and then delete the old .rpm it refuses to run anything. I know i didn't register something to the new gtk but how the heck am i supposed to know how to do that. SuSE can kiss my hairy ass with their tech support and it will be the last cent i spend on their distribution. thanks suse for making my life a living hell!

hey, watch your mouth.. suse didn't ask you to buy it.. that was your choice !
maybe not everybody needs to have the most up-to-date everything as you seem to. you dont seem to be able to function of your software is any older then yesterday's CVS version.

it's easy when you have the slighest idea what you're doing.
i do have to find it amusing that the person that started the thread reviewing a distribution a) asks for help on how to use it and b) say's it's useless and the very same thread...
