Let's break this down a bit:
Quote:
linux:~ # sh '/lib/modules/fglrx/build_mod/make.sh'

You're making this as root. Good!
Quote:
/lib/modules/fglrx/build_mod/make.sh: line 39: gcc: command not found

Ah. This script does not know where to find the Gnu C Compiler (gcc). You'll need to help it out. This is from my SuSE 9.2 pro system.
Code:
fluffy:~ # which gcc
/usr/local/bin/gcc
fluffy:~ # gcc -v

gcc version 3.3.3 (SuSE Linux)
On my system, gcc is located in /usr/local/bin/gcc. I can tell it is included in root's $PATH, becuase I can test for the version at the command line. If you can't get output from gcc -v, you'll have to add it to root's $PATH.
