SUSE 9.1 PE Install Error...
Hi All,
I have downloaded the ISO Image of Suse 9.1 Personal, and have written it to CD as an Image. I can Start installing it and it runs through the first phase all the way to copying all the packages, then after it finished at 100%, just before it starts getting ready for the first reboot, it gives me an error telling me "These Packages could not be configured" and only points out "Kernel-Default". Now, On any given Sunday, I would assume it is either. 1. Incompatible with my Hardware 2. The ISO is corrupt 3. The CD-Recording Software I have used has not burnt it correctly. This being said, I tried it on another completely different PC at work, same error.... Tried installing both PC's with Safe Mode, ACPI off, Manual... The works... No go.... Same error "Kernel-Default" Then I almost gave up thinking it was the media/ISO and installed it on my main pc in a VMWARE Session... Works 100%... What Gives? Anything anyone could think could be the reason for the Kernel failing the Install just after copying all Packages?..... :( |
