SuSE 9.0 DSL connection drops
Hello All,
I'm having a problem with my DSL connection on my SuSE 9.0 FTP distribution. I am able to successfully connect to my DSL provider (SBC DSL). The connection is solid and stays up for a random period of time from 1 - 3 days. It then appears that SBC boots my connection. I would like to configure my SuSE box to reconnect when I get booted, so that I can maintain a fairly persistent connection. Any ideas? Once the connection is down, I typically just start kinternet to "dial in" again, but eventually the connection will be terminated. Here are the messages log entries detailing the connection termination: Apr 16 02:51:50 Falcon pppd[1114]: Terminating on signal 15. ok , you should add your nameserver = xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx in your resolv.conf and you should change another file which located in /etc/sysconfig/network ,something like this. i forget the name of the file. check it ,and change the configuration in the file , not change your resolv.conf again. or you won't connect internet next, because resolv.conf will be changed again.
