SuSE 8.2 - remote desktop connection
Hello,
I would like to use the remote desktop connection as terminal client for windows 2000 terminals server.
When I launch Remote Desktop Connection, the 'connect' button is disables, it can't be pressed!
Anyone can help me?
P.S.: I'm using SuSE 8.2 and rdesktop package is installed .
Thanks.

Do you mean Rdesktop? That is what I notmally use to connect to a terminal server, but there is no 'connect' button, you pass the IP of the terminal server on the command line.

You should try getting an VNC server running on you Windows box and useing the Remote Desktop software that comes with most linux distros (suse 8.2 and RedHat 9 for me). I found that it does a better job then rdesktop plus it's a little easier (not that the command promt is hard, GUIs are just nice) and it doesn't lock you out on the windows box. so it could also be used when you need to help people out remotely. But I guess that's my two cents
ps I just did this in like 5 mins, just now so. I'm also switching to linux for my workstations. I've ran a linux Server for 5 years and like working with it so much I made the switch
