Suse 8.2 live eval and Canon A60 digicam

I have received good advice elsewhere on these forums about how to set up Debian for my Canon A60. Now I want to try and get my Suse 8.2 live eval distribution working with the camera. Suse seems to recognise the USB hardware, but does anyone know if there is a program such as gphoto or similar on this Suse distribution that I can use to download images from the camera via USB? I can't locate such a program in the menus. If there isn't, can I download a suitable program from the internet and install it?
